Self-Guided Painting Retreat with Accommodation

Bring your art society or club to Markdale Station for a self-guided creative retreat, staying on-site in our beautifully preserved 1850s accommodation. With no set itinerary, your group is free to explore the property at your own pace — set up easels by the historic Edna Walling garden, capture the rolling hills of the Southern Tablelands, or find a quiet corner among the paddocks to sketch and reflect. It's a chance for your members to immerse themselves in inspiring surrounds, connect with nature and each other, and create at their own rhythm, all while enjoying the comfort and character of a genuine country stay.
